Our goal was to create a modern, warm, and inviting kitchen that blends seamlessly with the traditional style of the home. We chose clean white cabinetry with a marble engineered stone top and a butler’s sink. Vintage tapware and pewter handles add character, complementing the black appliances and freestanding oven. An oiled American ‘Antique Oak’ floor, wicker barstools, and veggie baskets bring warmth and texture to the design.
The kitchen includes a designated area for the family to work together, with space for kneading and rolling out dough. It caters to the family’s needs without interfering with food preparation. The fridge is cleverly hidden behind a wall, and a pantry is tucked under the stair landing, facing the fridge. The space is efficiently used, with drawers in the pantry and kicks, and a blind corner pull-out unit.
Traditional elements like skirting, scotia, and architraves are reflected in the corbels, fluted columns, and cabinet panels. Casual dining can be enjoyed at the small table or the breakfast bar, which also serves as additional workspace.
